On behalf of the membership of the
Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce, I am honoured to
welcome you to our community.
Education is one of the most important aspects
of life in Rolla. There are certified Blue Ribbon
schools in our public school system, private schools and day care, vocationaI
education
programs and several choices of higher education including the University of
Missouri-Rolla,
which is one of the finest engineering schools in the country.
Rolla is the county seat of Phelps County and is an attractive mixture of rural and urban life.
We have access to Fort Leonard Wood, which among other things,
has commuter airline
service.
We enjoy immediate access to some of the finest recreation
areas in the Ozarks, from the
Branson entertainment area to metropolitan St. Louis.
In addition, the area has a sizable medical network, including
the Phelps County Regional
Medical Center, which provides the region with first rate medical care.
Mark Twain National Forest, United States Geological Survey,
Mid-Continent Mapping
Center, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and other state and
federal agencies
are also in the area. Simply stated, this is a place to pursue your version
of the American dream in a safe, clean,
attractive community that values faith, hard work and education. The staff
and members of the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce welcome you to this wonderful
environment. We can be your information resource for the community.
If the chamber can assist you in any way, please feel free to call us at (573)364-3577, drop by our beautiful Visitor Center at 1301 Kingshighway or visit us on the web at www.rollachamber.org.
